The Importance
The purpose of missions is to find those who have not heard the good news of Christ and focus and reaching them. By partnering with missionaries, churches are able to share the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ with those who live in places where Christianity is sometimes unknown. It is God's will for us to make Jesus known all over the world.
Romans 10:14
"How, then, can they call on the One they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without a teacher?"Mark 16:15
"Go into all the world and preach the good news to everyone."Matthew 28:19
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." -

How to Help
Missionaries are more successful with support from congregations. The apostle Paul found that prayer of fellow believers in Jesus Christ were a tremendous source of encouragement for him.
2 Thessalonians 3:1
"As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you"It's clear that missionaries depend on encouragement and financial support to help meet their spiritual, emotional, and physical needs in order to spread the Gospel.
You can begin a Faith Promise, where you promise to monetarily provide a certain amount to a missionary of your choosing.
In order to commit to a Faith Promise, provide your name, the missionary you would like to support, and the amount you would like to provide yearly in an email to Sue Calvert at sue.ccag@gmail.com.
